Catherine Li

Catherine Li is a London-based curator whose practice centres on site-specific exhibition, public programming, participatory art and digital archiving. Her work approaches curation as a contributor to cultural creation, and she shapes exhibitions as platforms for innovation and research.

After obtaining her Master’s in Culture, Criticism, and Curation from Central Saint Martins, Li was selected for the Curator-in-Residence programme founded by the Austrian Cultural Forum London. She has also worked with a wide range of cross-sector partners and organisations, including Peckham Levels, Bomb Factory Art Foundation, Central Saint Martins, NEoN Digital Arts Festival Dundee, Lot Projects and Drawing People Together. Across these collaborations, her focus is on facilitating novel modes of connection within, and between, individuals, artistic communities and public bodies. Li has initiated several participatory and cross-cultural programmes, such as Artist Lunch Box (2023–2024) and Peckham Workshop Festival (2024, 2025), which foreground artistic exchange and collective processes of making.

Li is the Space Coordinator for UAL’s Professional Practice Studios and Exhibition Space, supporting students and researchers in developing public-facing projects that connect with local communities. Her role fosters socially engaged forms of art-making and spatial practice.
