Betty Ogundipe (b. 2001, London) is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. She studied for her Foundation Diploma at Central Saint Martins, London, and completed her BA in Fine Art at the Slade School of Art, London, in 2024. Betty works across painting, photography, textile, installation and moving image. Her practice explores the militant feminine, narratives of beauty and forms of discipline through physically and energetically demanding processes of making . Centering Black womanhood while resonating beyond it, her work resists the simplification of lived experience into stereotype and encourages active questioning of sociocultural norms.
Over the past five years Betty has participated in a variety of high-profile campaigns across London's creative industries. From 2021 to 2025 she was a creative director at No Signal Radio and Recess. In 2020 and 2023, her works were selected by Tate Collective for their Billboards Prize and A World in Common: Contemporary African Photography. Betty's work was featured in the Green Space: CSM x LUX Collection exhibition in 2021 and, more recently, she appeared in the Channel 4 fine art documentary UNTOLD.
